Expected to grow at a CAGR of 33.05% between 2021-2026, Network as a Service (NaaS) is a business model with rising global demand. Compelled by the post-pandemic operational tendencies, there is a growing trend towards the adoption of Cloud and Big Data analytics among organizations. Multiple players catering to business segments of all sizes have entered the domain resulting in increased competition. As a result, key players are partnering strategically and collaborating to increase profitability and reach a broader customer base. A recent such development is the announcement of a bilateral partnership between Singapore-based global Connectivity provider- Epsilon Telecommunications (Epsilon) and SEAX – a Neutral ICT infrastructure provider. This partnership allows Epsilon to reach a bigger population through the SEAX’s Points of Presence (PoPs) in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
“Working with SEAX helps us to take our regional connectivity to new places and provide our partners and customers with seamless interconnection between Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia through Infiny,” said Warren Aw, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific at Epsilon. “We are excited to be growing our partnership with SEAX as we continue to expand the network footprint to meet rising customer demands.” It will raise their capability to meet the ever-growing demand of the highly populated Southeast Asia market, which is home to about 400 million internet users. It looks like national boundaries are no barrier; this is one of the many partnerships Epsilon has made in recent times.
They have a similar partnership with DCConnect, a Chinese network operator that maximized connections by expanding its PoPs throughout Mainland China and Hongkong. According to Warren Aw, this has helped them work around the regulatory and language challenges, thereby enabling them to reach out to the biggest market in the world.
What’s in it for SEAX?
SEAX is now enabled to use Infiny to deliver on-demand connectivity over Epsilon global private network. Infiny is Epsilon’s on-demand connectivity platform that allows users to buy and manage their network services, delivering carrier-grade connectivity to world-leading data centers, leading cloud providers and internet exchanges worldwide.
When commenting about the partnership, Louis Teng, Chief Executive Officer at SEAX shared, “SEAX existing network infrastructure and Infiny’s platform are complementary in nature. This partnership will enable both SEAX and Epsilon to provide our customers with scalable, private, secure, and direct connectivity to a growing ecosystem of data centers, cloud service providers and internet exchanges and we’re pleased to be able to work hand in hand with Epsilon to value add to both our customers and theirs. We look forward to seeing what’s next for our ongoing partnership.”
